SUKHUM -- Today, President Aleksandr Ankvab received Professor at the Sorbonne, leading member of the National Centre for Scientific Research in France, archaeologist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Michael Kazan and his wife, anthropologist,  Doctor of Historical Sciences, Anna Mostykova.

Security Council Secretary Stanislav Lakoba participated in the meeting. The discussion touched upon the development of scholarship, archaeology, history of Abkhazia, the current situation, foreign policy.

Anna Mostykova was in Abkhazia in 2006. She noted that since then things have changed for the better.

The President and Secretary of the Security Council told the guests about the post-war construction of Abkhazia.

Aleksandr Ankvab presented as a gift to Michael Kazan and his wife silver coins with images of Christian churches in Abkhazia.
