On 23 November 2014 the Abkhazian State Philharmonic soloists (organist Luka Gadelia and opera-singer Christina Eshba) gave a concert in Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia. This was an iconic cultural mission: two talented and bright peoples, the Abkhazians and the Catalans, making a stand for independence, affirmed their right to their own history, national values, traditions, culture, art and lifestyle.

SUKHUM -- An international scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of a scientist-abkhazialogist, linguist, literary critic, specialist in study of folklore, winner of D. Gulia award, D. Ph., Professor, academician of the Abkhazian Academy of Sciences Khukhut Bgazhba has opened in the capital of Abkhazia.

The II International Art-open-air festival "Paints of Autumn in Abkhazia 2014" will take place on October 9-17 in Abkhazia. Anyone can submit an application for participation.

The fourth Open Republican Festival of bardic songs “I Sing to You, Abkhazia” will be held on June 18 in the R. Gumba Abkhaz State Philharmonic Concert Hall.

Within the framework of a TV project of the Honor is Higher than Life Union of Abkhazian volunteers of Kabardino-Balkaria together with the VGTRK State Television and Radio Company Kabardino-Balkaria, a screening of the documentary film “The Last Knights of the 20th Century” about the volunteers from Kabardino-Balkaria who fought in Abkhazia will take place in the State Concert Hall on Shogentsukov Street at 1800 on 30 January.  Entrance to the event is free.
