NALCHIK ― The death of Ziya Elisov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, has been confirmed by Maysky district authorities amid ongoing war in Ukraine. This brings the official death toll of Kabardino-Balkaria residents to at least 90 since the conflict began.

The political parties of Nagorno-Karabakh have criticised Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for expressing his readiness to recognise the borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan based on USSR maps. They also condemned Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev's statement, which said residents of Karabakh must either accept Azerbaijani citizenship or find another place to live, calling it contrary to international law.
