SUKHUM / AQW'A — Inal Ardzinba, the Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia, has arrived in the Republic of Türkiye.
Upon his arrival at Istanbul International Airport, Ardzinba was warmly welcomed by Ibrahim Avidzba, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Türkiye.
During his visit, Minister Ardzinba stopped by the office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Türkiye. A constructive meeting was held there, which also included the participation of Murat Makharia, the Chairman of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers (ABHAZFED) in Türkiye.
During the meeting, Minister Ardzinba highlighted the significance of strengthening engagement with the Abkhazian diaspora in Türkiye. He also underscored the need for expanding Abkhazia’s international relations through collaborations with Russian counterparts, and called for an intensification of the information policy.
It is worth noting that Türkiye is home to the world’s largest Abkhaz diaspora community, with an estimated population of around 500,000 individuals. This makes the relationship between Abkhazia and Türkiye particularly important.
